Clothing Restrictions
Clothing- One of the reasons we created these events was so that they were affordable for dancers taking part. Please help us to make sure this dance style develops in the best way possible by reading through our guidelines below and helping your dancers make sensible decisions on their competition attire. Please try to be mindful of the age of dancers you have entering and keep all clothing, hair & makeup age appropriate.
Sequins, diamantes, feathers or similar decoration are not permitted.
- Clothing that contains more than one colour is permitted.
- Clothing that contains more than one material is permitted.
- Fringing is permitted.
- Practice style Ballroom & Latin style dresses/ leotards/ skirts are ideal and encouraged.
- Dresses that are typically worn in Juvenile competitions are permitted.
Footwear- We advise all dancers should wear Latin or Ballroom shoes for all sections. A stage shoe or jazz shoe is also suitable. It is preferred that dancers under 12 years should be in a juvenile shoe (max 3.5cm). Shoe decoration such as diamantes is permitted however we encourage this to be kept to a minimum.
Hair Decoration & Jewellery- Hair decoration is permitted for all ages however we encourage this to be kept to a minimum. Jewellery- diamante earrings are permitted however thick cuffs, necklaces, belts embellished with diamantes are not permitted.
