The Loom, Oldham
Welcome to The Loom in Oldham, Manchester – a brand-new, purpose-built events venue at the heart of Oldham’s town centre regeneration.
Located in Parliament Square, above the new Market and connected to The Spindles shopping centre, The Loom is a modern and flexible venue designed to host live performances, awards nights and large-scale events.
As one of Greater Manchester’s newest entertainment venues, we’re delighted to be bringing All Nations to The Loom and welcoming dance schools from across the UK for a fantastic day of Ballroom, Latin & Classical dancing.
Arrival Information
Please enter the building via the Parliament Square entrance, facing Molino Lounge and Nando’s.
On arrival, please queue to the side of the building using the barrier system provided. Wristbands will be checked by event staff and security before entry is permitted.
Once inside, the first-floor ballroom and bar area can be accessed by both stairs and lift.

The venue does not have its own dedicated car park; however, it is located in Oldham town centre with a number of car parks and parking options within walking distance.
Please check the opening and closing times, along with any payment information, for the car park you choose to use.
For those familiar with the Queen Elizabeth Hall, our previous Oldham venue, the large car park there remains open and is a short walk from The Loom if you would prefer to park somewhere familiar.
Emergency Evacuation Procedure
Assembly Point
The fire assembly point is The Egyptian Room, facing the venue.
If you are a responsible adult accompanying a dancer and it is safe to do so, please locate your dance school lead person at the assembly point and let them know that you have safely evacuated the building.
Fire Alarm
If the fire alarm sounds, everyone must evacuate the building promptly unless explicitly instructed otherwise.
Please follow any additional instructions given by venue staff or emergency personnel.
Do not attempt to re-enter the venue until the Duty Manager or attending fire officers have confirmed that it is safe to do so.
Changing Facilities
Dancers are strictly not permitted to change in the ballroom or public corridor areas unless wearing a suitable base layer such as a leotard, shorts or crop top.
Male and female changing rooms will be clearly signposted throughout the venue for anyone needing to change during the event.
School-age dancers and younger children must be accompanied by an adult or chaperone when using the changing facilities.
Please ask a member of the All Nations team if you are unsure where the changing rooms are located.
Changing in public areas is not permitted at our events and will be monitored by our team throughout the day.
First Aid
Should anyone require medical assistance during the event, please alert a member of the All Nations team or venue staff.
There will be multiple first aiders available throughout the event.
Food & Drink Policy
There is a café area located on the ground floor of the venue serving a range of food options, including toasties, paninis, hot dogs, nachos and cold sandwiches. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
There is also a large bar on the first floor for attendees to use throughout the day.
Hot food is not permitted inside the ballroom, including food purchased within the venue. Any hot food or drinks purchased on site should be consumed within the café or bar areas provided.
Food purchased from outside the venue is not permitted to be brought in. This includes takeaways, fast food and pre-packaged food or meal deals purchased from supermarkets or food outlets such as McDonald’s, KFC, Subway, Greggs or Sainsbury’s.
Homemade packed lunches and snacks may be brought into the venue, including where required for personal dietary requirements.
We kindly ask everyone to help us look after the venue by disposing of rubbish responsibly and leaving seating areas tidy throughout the day.
